Large economy central banks more likely to employ CTO

Slight majority of central banks employ CTO, but differences are clearer when sorted by GDP

Central banks from larger economies are more likely to employ a chief technology officer than those in other jurisdictions, data from the Fintech & IT Benchmark 2021 shows. 

Among the 29 central banks that responded to this question, just over half (55%) employ a CTO to oversee fintech functions and wider issues related to technology.
